Step 1: Complete initial consultation (30 min free service). Our advocate will collaborate with your family to identify the goals and objectives for your student and determine what services your family requires. This can be done in person, via phone, or through email.
Step 2: Our advocate will provide you with a service contract and list of documents required to continue further.
These may include:
-Invitation to Meeting
-PWN (prior written notice)
-NOREP/PWN (notice of recommended educational placement)
-ER (evaluation report)
-RR (re-evaluation report)
-IEP (individual education program)
-GIEP (gifted individual education program)
-IEP/GIEP Progress Reports
-504
-FBA (functional behavior assessment)
-PBSP (positive behavior support plan)
Step 3: Upon receipt of the service contract and requested documents, our advocate will complete a full document review and provide your family with detailed notes.
These notes will include:
-compliance to IDEA regulations
-completion of all required components
-recommended programing in alignment to the family's goals
-accuracy of information within document
Step 4: Ongoing: It is at the families discretion which of our advocacy services they would like to utilize going forward. These include the advocate attending meetings if requested, negotiating with the educational team, reviewing additional documents, completing observations, etc.
